This weeks question is...

When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?

I think I realized that reading was a passion early on in my life. I can remember being in the fourth grade and we would get 15 minutes of DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read), and when that 15 minutes was up, I would be so sad because I always thought it was so short, I could have easily spent the rest of the afternoon reading, I knew then that it was important to me. So basically forever.

This weeks question is...

What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?

I don't know that I have a favourite fairy tale that revolves around the fae- I don't know that I even know of one. But I do enjoy the stories of the fae tricking people into eating their food when they shouldn't. Those are my favourite stories.

This weeks question is...

How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?

I don't actually know. I think maybe 50. So it's manageable. I could get 50 books read by the end of the year. However, like most TBR piles it is ever growing. But that's ooooook.

This weeks question is...

Genre Wars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

I have two favourite genres. Romance of any kind, and Young adult. My favourite romance novel is Dirty by Megan Hart, that story breaks my heart every time I read it. But then it puts it back together. I love it. Hunter's Moon by OR Melling had been my favourite YA as a kid, and it is still dear to my heart. But I have also read some really great YA books in the last few months. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta is up there, The Summer I Turned Pretty  By Jenny Han is also a possibility. There are many.

“Who is the ONE author that you are DYING to meet?

I would love to meet Megan Hart. I think she would be really fun to have a conversation with. We could talk Supernatural and music. That would be cool.

This weeks question is...
The magic book fairy pops out of your cereal box and says "you and your favorite character (from a book of course) can switch places!" Who are you going to switch with?

Isabelle Culpepper (The Wolves of Mercy Falls series)--I think she is one great character. She's got a hot attitude, but  at the same time she is also fiercely loyal. I love that about her. She's got wonderful friends, and a love interest (eh|?), that is pretty freaking hot (I am totally a Cole girl, and I can't wait till Forever to find out more about him).  I think it would be great to be here for a day.

“Share your favorite post from the last month and tell us why it’s close to your heart!”

Last weekend I read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. It was a pretty intense novel and I reviewed it this past week. I don't know if it's my favourite post, but it was a hard book for me to review. If you would like to read my thoughts on it please feel free. Or look it up on goodreads. This is a novel that everyone is going to be talking about for a long long time.  I would really encourage you to check the posts out.

What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.)
Absolutely nothing. When the zombies come. I plan to join them. I like to be on the winning team.

This weeks question is...

"What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked?  Which have you disliked?"
My favourite movie of all time is Interview With the Vampire. I love that movie. I think it's one of the best movies ever. I could watch it over and over. I haven't read the book, but I do own it. So I don't know if this really answers the question. The Harry Potter series isn't to bad, neither is The Lord of the Rings trilogy. But the worst book-to-movie Has to be the Eragon movie. What a joke. Worst movie I have ever seen! It's a great book, but the movie was junk. Sorry.

This weeks question is...
How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?
It depends on what time of year it is. During the school year-Sept-April, I'm lucky if I can finish one book a week.  But during the down times I can get one done for sure maybe 1 1/2.  But when schools out maybe 2-3 a week. I love those times. I have found that on top of my printed books, I enjoy audio books for when I am cleaning or at the gym, so I usually have an audio book on the go.

"If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?"

Harry Potter! I would love love love to spend a day in the world of witches and wizards. It would be so much fun. Going to Hogwarts, and all the little wizarding towns, watching a quiditch match. Like really, it would be the coolest day of my life.

This weeks question is...

Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them...

1-I have a specific spot at the dining room table that I sit at, and if anyone sits there I have no issues with asking them to move.

2-I'm 24 and up until a few months ago I slept with a stuffed animal-he can still be found beside my bed.

3- I am addicted to nail polish... I love it. I paint my toes a different colour every couple days in the summer (I haven't started yet, but it's coming I can feel it).

4-I HATE reading more then one book at a time, I can't do it. It hurts me.

5-I can't clean my house without an audio book or movie playing in the background. I need noise but music doesn't just doesn't cut it.

So, there you have it.

This weeks question is...

"Which book blogger would you most like to meet in real life?"

This is a totally unfair question! I can't answer just one! There are SO many.  Aylee from Recovering Potter Addict. She's so terribly sweet, and I think her blog is FABULOUS! I also think it would be super cool to meet Ruby from Ruby's Reads, she has an AMAZING blog and an hilarious sense of humour. I love her. Sarah from Miss Page Turner's City of Books I think would be a really cool person to meet as well, and Pam from Midnyte Reader.  So many amazing bloggers that I think I would have a good time meeting.  I am missing a whole slew of people but the question asked for one (but I couldn't pick just one).

This weeks question...
What character in a book would you most like to be, what character in a book would you most like to date?

What is it with hard questions this time around. I loved Grace from Shiver by Maggie Steifvater. I thought she was an amazing character. I totally loved her. I also loved Marianne Engle from The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson (although thinking about it, I don't know that I would want to be her, she was insane). But Grace for sure. Ultimately I would love to date Griggs from Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchettea (how many of you are with me on this one?), I would also date Simon from The Mortal Instruments series, I loved him. I also have to say, I would love to date any of the men found in the Black Dagger Brotherhood- John Matthew or Rhage-But any would do.  I have a thing for Alpha males.

But that is it. Enjoy. And but sure to get in on my give away that ends this Sunday. It's international. Link in the sidebar on your left (Spring Blog Carnival Hop).

"Summer is coming quickly - what 2011 summer release are you are most looking forward to?"

We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han. It came out this week and I'd been waiting all  year for it's release.  I feel a little bit like a broken record going on and on about this series, but I love it. My favourite summer read.

This week's question:

"If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"

Oh for sure. I love reading books from authors that I love. I've done it with a lot of my romance authors like Rachel Gibson. I also did it with Jodi Picoult, after The Pact I wanted to read everything, now I limit myself to one a year due to the intense stress I suffer from her books. Currently I am in search of anything by Melina Marchetta, Jellicoe Road was so amazing that I want to know what else this woman can dish out.

Share your current fav television show! Tell us a bit about it...

I love so many shows! It's insane. But the one show that I won't miss, week in week out is Glee. I love that show! No matter how stupid it can get. I love how cheesy it is. It's great! I also love Supernatural, however this season is so freaking stupid it's hard for me to get into it. I've missed the past three episodes and I'm like 'Oh well, I'll catch up someday'. I also very much like America's Next Top Model, The Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.  Now I don't watch these shows every week, I don't have time,  I usually watch them online when I have time.  Who has time for that much TV?!?!

Tell us about one of your posts from this week and give us a link so we can read it (review or otherwise)!

I did not have a lot of time for reading this week- next week is going to be a bust as well. School has been so busy. I posted a funny video by Julian Smith called I'm Reading A Book, also the trailer for Water For Elephants. I did finish Jellicoe Road this week, and was able to get the review up last night. I loved that book, and I spent a lot of time on trying to express what I thought. You can read it here. So there you go, I was shameless and linked every one of my posts this week. If you have to only pick one to look at, Check out I'm Reading a book, it's really funny.

This weeks question is...

What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?

I am all about the strong silent brute macho man. Haha. John Matthew from JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood comes to mind when I think of my favourite romance hero-type. He's hella hot in Lover Mine. He's pretty silent- no pun intended- and reserved when he needs to be, but he pulls out the macho man when he needs to... whew, I'm swooning already. So yeah.

"What are you reading now and why are you reading it?"

I am not reading anything at the moment. I finished reading Iron King this morning which was pretty good. However now I have annoying task of deciding what to read next. There are a few I would like to read, and a few that I should read. and so on and so on.

I am either going to read:

-What Can't Wait by Ashley Hope Perez

-Selfish is the Heart by Megan Hart

-Shiver by Meggie Stiefvater

-The Girls by Lori Lansens.

What is the book you are currently 'pushing'? (Pushing mean trying to get people to read it)

I am not one to really push a book. But I would really love people to pick up Megan Hart's Precious and Fragile Things. I really enjoyed it. Also I think people should take a look at After by Amy Efaw. It was a good book. I really enjoyed both and I haven't heard much about them from other people, and I like comparing what I thought and what other's though, especially when I really like it.

"What book are you most looking forward to seeing published in 2011? Why are you anticipating that book?"

I am very very eager for two books that are being published this year.

1) Lover Unleashed by JR Ward. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series is something I love and this installment looks to be fantastic. So I can't wait.

2) We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han, I believe it's the last book in The Summer I Turned Pretty series. I have really enjoyed the series so far and I am curious to see what happens. For those who have read it, I am totally team Conrad.

What is/was your favorite subject in school?

This weeks question:

Why do you read the genre that you do? What draws you to it?

When I was in the 7th grade I read Prince of Magic by Anne Stuart. I found it at my grandmother's house one day and started to read it. My grandma was a big reader, and she had piles and piles of books. She wasn't much of a romance reader-it was often her last resort. But after reading Prince of Magic, and seeing how much Gabriel loved Liz, spoke to my pre-teen mind, and I was hooked. So I blame my gramma. Alex over at A Girl, Books and Other Things says it really well, it's about the happy endings, and the hope they inspire. As for Young Adult. I love how they are mostly good clean fun. I love how much fun they are. They bring me back to my junior high/high school days, where life was simple. I really do love them, and they usually have fabulous covers.

What makes up your non-human family??

I don't have a non-human family. I had a cat growing up K-Ci and I loved him. He was the best. One day when I have a house I really want to get a female dog and name her Lucy. I like that
idea a lot.

This weeks question is...

"What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?"

This is a hard question; one I am not sure I have an answer for right now. I am currently reading a book By Dr Izzeldin Abuelaish called I Shall Not Hate: A Gaza Doctor's Journey.

"What can you do? You can do a lot. You can support justice for all by speaking out loudly to your family, friends, community, politicians and religious leaders. You can support foundations that do good work. You can volunteer for humanitarian organizations. You can vote regressive politicians out of office. You can do many things to move the world toward greater harmony…

"I know that what I have lost, what was taken from me, will never come back. But as a physician and a Muslim of deep faith, I need to move forward to the light, motivated by the spirits of those I lost. I need to bring them justice… I will keep moving but I need you to join me in this long journey."

I am reading it for school but it is really changing how I see my life and what I take for granted. So right this moment this is really changing me.

This week's question...

What book(s) have you discovered lately from someone's book blog?

What books haven't I discovered? I've always been a reader but I mostly read romance and adult fiction (when I say adult I mean novels not classified as young adult). But when I started following other's blogs I found a love for Young Adult fiction. It's now what I find myself reading the most of.

"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"

The characters hands down. If a story line is a little weak but the characters are fun and engaging the book can usually be saved. However, no matter how great the plot is, if the characters are under developed the whole story is going to fall flat. Well for me at least.

And that's my hop.

This weeks question:

"What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs? Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?"

I love reading about what other people are reading, so for me I think that reviews are the best. I like to know what other people thought about a book (especially if it's one I loved). Another reason is to see what other people are reading my TBR has grown immensely since I've started following other blogs. It's great. I just love it all, and that's that.
