Many Books in a Year & December TBR
November was a totally fail for me. I read a grand total of five books, and one of those books was an 89 page novella. For Shame! In my defense, November was insane at school and I barely had time to eat and sleep never mind read, so five books is ooook. This gets to me to a total of 79 books.
** I have also added a video of what I plan on reading for the month of Dec. I have big plans so make sure to watch my video and wish me luck- I'm going to need it!!**
1) The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff (My Thoughts)
2) The Twits by Roald Dahl
3) Stork by Wendy Delsol
4) Forever by Maggie Stiefvater (My Thoughts)
5) The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
December's TBR...
From the Library:
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Lainie Taylor
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
To Review:
The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler
Fever by Lauren DeStefano
Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
The Theme Pile:

Many Books in a Year: September and October
I don't know what happened, but I totally forgot to do a post for Many Books in a Year in Oct. Which is sad, because I read eight books that month , and six in October. Better late then never.

3) Looking for Alaska by John Green
4) Second Chances by Lauren Dane
5) One Foot in the Grave by Jeanine Frost
6) The Summer of Skinny Dipping by Amanda Howells (My Thoughts)
7) A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies (My Thoughts)
8) The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (My Thoughts)
A lot of book, and they were all very good.

2) Triangles by Ellen Hopkins (My Thoughts)
3) Virtuosity by Jessica Martinez (My Thoughts)

This brings me to 74 books this year so far. Which is NOT where I want to be. Nov is a little less busy for school, but I have a HUGE paper due at the end of the month, so I may disappear for a while. But I have the whole month of Dec off, so I am hopeful.
If you want to see what I am hoping to read in Nov, I did a video on my Youtube channel, which you can find here. Enjoy.

Many Book in a Year: August
Did I ever have a pathetic month. And I have no idea why it was so pathetic. I mean I had the last two weeks of the month off. I worked A LOT before that, but really. I have no excuses. I must have been in such a funk. What I did read though, was so amazingly awesome. So that sort of makes up for my pathetic-ness. I read six books, which brings me to 60 this year (and I wanted to be at 70 by Sept 7th-yeah right, good luck with that). I also found that I read more Adult Fiction this month. And, though I love Young Adult. I found that I needed a break from it. So, it was nice.
Anywho...
this is what I did read.
1) Entwined by Heather Dixon (My Thoughts)
2) Falling Under by Gwen Hayes (My Thoughts)
3) Halo by Alexandra Adornetto
4) The Taker by Alma Katsu (My Thoughts)
5) Dangerous Pleasure by Lora Leigh
6) Witchlanders by Lena Coakley (My Thoughts)
So that's what I read. I am back at school on Wednesday, So I will not be able to read as much (cause, you know, I've been reading so much already). But I have goals (Which I will be posting later this week).

Many Books In A Year: July
July was busy for me work wise, and even though I wanted to very much to get at least 10 books read, I only managed eight. But, still, that's not to bad. The eight books added brings me to a total of 54 books read this year.
1) Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (My Thoughts)
2) Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
3) Then Comes Marriage by Christie Ridgeway
4) Wildefire by Karsten Knight (My Thoughts)
5) Swoon by Nina Malkin (My Thoughts)
6) The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta (My Thoughts)
7) Tricks by Ellen Hopkins
8) Collide by Megan Hart (My Thoughts: Coming Soon)
I want to very much get to 70 books by the time school starts again on Sept 7th. But August is going to be even busier. But we'll see. Wish me luck.

Many Books in a Year: June
This was another pretty good month as far as reading goes. The firs couple of weeks were pretty slow, as I was finishing up my spring course which involved writing a pretty hefty final paper. But alas, I am officially done with school until September, and I am SO excited with all the reading I have been doing. This month I read 8 books, which brings me to a grand total of 46 books read this year. Not to shabby if I say so myself.
1) Saving Franceseca by Melina Marchetta
2) Bumped by Megan McCafferty (My Thoughts)
3) Beautiful Creatures by Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia
4) Angels Blood by Nalini Singh
5) Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
6) Red Glove by Holly Black (My Thoughts)
7) The Dark Divine by Bree Despain
8) The Last Summer (of You & Me) by Ann Brashares (My Thoughts coming soon)
Looking back at all the books I read the last four I read in the last week. So that is why my reviews have been sparse. But there are more coming. Also if you see a book that I have read and not reviewed and would like me to, please let me know, and I'll try and get it done.
**Update on my book buying ban--> I am still not buying books, however I did buy Jellicoe Road a few weeks ago. But in all fairness, I have read it, and I just wanted a copy for my own as the one I read was from the library. So I am still doing pretty good. The majority of the books I am reading have either been from the library, or ones I already owned and so on and so forth. But I am not buying books yet. I have however read a total of nine books on my list of 21 that I needed to read before I could purchase a new book. So I'm getting there.

Many Books in a Year: May
Wahoooo, I had an amazing month of reading. Once school was let out (I am taking a spring course but that's only one class) I was all about spending my extra time reading. I am working full time now, but all my friends have left the city/country this summer so I have LOADS of time to get lost in some far away land. I read eight books this months (YES!) and it feels good. There were no audio books this month. I have a big paper due in June so I don't know that I'll have as good a month, but we'll see. This puts me at 38 books this year. Not to shabby.
1) Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin (My Thoughts)
2) Across the Universe by Beth Revis (My Thoughts)
3) Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles
4) Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
5) Unearthly by Cynthia Hand (My Thoughts)
6) Linger by Maggie Stiefvater
7) Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma (My Thoughts)

Many Books in a Year: April
I'm still counting. If you are new to Many Books in a Year you can find an explanation here. basically I'm counting the books I've read. I wanted to know how many I get through.
April was an interesting month. I turned 24 at the beginning of the month and I had a boat load of exams to study for. But I still managed to get through a good amount of books. In April I read I read 5 books total, listened to one audio book, started and didn't finish two (I really hate when that happens). Which brings me to 29 books total.
1) Lover Unleashed by JR Ward
2)Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston (Audio Book-My Thoughts coming soon)
3)Identical by Ellen Hopkins (My Thoughts)
4)White Cat by Holly Black (My Thoughts)
5)Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (My Thoughts)
6)Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (My Thoughts coming soon)
Did Not Finish
7) Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney (My Thoughts)
8) Prophecy of the Sister by Michelle Zink
*A little update on my book buying ban--> I failed twice this month. I was at costco and found Something Borrowed for SUPER cheap so I bought it. I also bough Linger because I wanted it. So yeah. But I have read two of the books from my list of 20 that I need to read before I buy another book (the others are from the library or borrowed from friends). I am still on my ban, and I am cracking down. I am hoping to get the remaining 18 read by July. But we'll see.
**Also, if you haven't already. Make sure to enter my giveaway. All you have to do is tell me what you're most favourite books has been this year, and you could win TWO books.

Hello All,
I'm still counting. If you are new to Many Books in a Year you can find an explanation here. basically I'm counting the books I've read. I wanted to know how many I get through.
So in March I read five books, one novella and listened to one audio book and stopped listening to an audio book because it bored me. So this year I have read a total of 23 books I believe.
1) I am Number Four by Patticus Lore
2) We'll Always have Summer by Jenny Han (My Thoughts coming soon)
3) City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare (Audio Book)
4) Stay by Deb Caletti (My Thoughts)
5) City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
6) Friendly Fire my Megan Hart (Novella)
7) Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione (My Thoughts coming soon)
School is March was insane, and won't get much better for another couple of weeks. So hopefully I will be reading a little more. I can't wait for school to be done so I can read without guilt! It's gonna be awesome! Yes it is.

Many Books In A Year.

A friend of mine recently asked me how many books I read on average in a week. At the time I said about two maybe three. But in reality I had no idea I was just making a guess. Two or three a week was a lot especially for me who is taking four classes and working part-time. However the conversation I has with my friend had me thinking about how many books I actually read in a week, a month or even a year.
So for the year of 2011 I am going to keep track of all the books I read. I want to know exactly how many books I have read, I want to know if it's only 50, or 100 or more than that.
So I have started my own personal challenge. To keep track I will be posting at the end of every month with the titles of the books that I completed in that month and their corresponding number.
If you are curious about your own numbers, and want to count along with me, please do. All I ask is that you do the monthly posts, and link them in the comments of my monthly posts.
So it's time to start counting.
I am kind of excited about this. I've always wondered about how much I actually read.
So...
Happy Reading Everyone, and Happy Counting.
