Spring Blog Carnival Hop & Giveaway!

I love spring. You want to know why I love spring, I love spring because where I live, I deal with snow and cold 6-8 months out of the year, and when I say cold, I mean really really cold. minus 35-40 degree celcius. Which is pretty freaking cold. So when spring shows it's beautiful face, I get pretty excited.  Which is why I am really excited to be part of the Spring Blog Carnival taking place this week (May 1st-8th) Hosted by:

Candace's Book Blog
Reading Angel
Pure Imagination
The Book Swarm

They are going to be doing a lot of cool things this week. This is not only a hop but also a challenge, so check out their blogs for more info on the challenges.

I read one of the most amazing books this year, Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta (My Thoughts), and I would really love to buy it for you. I would also like to buy you a book of your choice (It has to be under $15.00).  So TWO books could be yours.

What's the catch:

  • You need to leave a comment telling me what's been the most AMAZING book you've read this year so far.
  • You need to tell me what book you would like me to send you in addition to Jellicoe Road*.
  • This contest is open internationally BUT I am sending from the book depository so please check here to see if they ship to your country.
  • You DON'T need to be a follower but I would appreciate it if you took some time to look at my blog and follow if you like what you see.
  • Plese leave an e-mail address in your comment so I can contact you when and if you win.
  • Contest closes at midnight of May 8th. I will announce the winner on Monday May 9th, I will also send the winner an e-mail and they will have 48 hours to get back to me, before I chose another winner.
  • Winners will be selected using Random.org.
*If you have read Jellicoe Road, you can still enter, You can chose something else from the book depository as long as it's under $10.00.

Winner Winner: Chicken Dinner.

So boys and girls we have a winner!  The winner of my very first giveaway in which I give away a copy of Choker by Elizabeth Woods is Anna over at The Bursting Bookshelf.   She's got a really excellent blog and I encourage everyone to head over and check it out.

If you did not win this time around do not fret I will be announcing another pretty stellar contest in a few weeks! So stay tuned. I am also making it a personal rule to have all my contests be open internationally. I find it incredibly frustrating when I see an announcement for a giveaway however it is only open to US residents. Being open internationally may mean I won't be hosting a whole lot of giveaways or I'll be using the book depository a whole lot. But for me it's important that anything that I want to giveaway I leave it open to everyone.

A huge thank you for those who participated, and to all my readers. I really appreciate it, really!

Happy Reading Everyone!

My Very First Give Away!

Hi Guys!

I've recently reached 50 followers! I think I actually have 52 now. But I think that this is pretty epic so I am giving something away!

I recently read Choker by Elizabeth Woods and liked it (My Thoughts). I have an extra copy hanging around and I want to give it to one of you. I really want to know what you thought of this book, so if you read it you have to comment on my review and tell me what you though.

Sixteen-year-old Cara Lange has been a loner ever since she moved away from her best and only friend, Zoe, years ago. She eats lunch with the other girls from the track team, but they're not really her friends. Mostly she spends her time watching Ethan Gray from a distance, wishing he would finally notice her, and avoiding the popular girls who call her "Choker" after a humiliating incident in the cafeteria.

Then one day Cara comes home to find Zoe waiting for her. Zoe's on the run from problems at home, and Cara agrees to help her hide. With her best friend back, Cara's life changes overnight. Zoe gives her a new look and new confidence, and next thing she knows, she's getting invited to parties and flirting with Ethan. Best of all, she has her BFF there to confide in.
But just as quickly as Cara's life came together, it starts to unravel. A girl goes missing in her town, and everyone is a suspect—including Ethan. Worse still, Zoe starts behaving strangely, and Cara begins to wonder what exactly her friend does all day when she's at school. You're supposed to trust your best friend no matter what, but what if she turns into a total stranger?

The Rules:

-Must be a follower to enter
-If you want extra entries- tell your friends to visit and follow they must leave a comment to tell me who referred them here.
-One comment entry per person-Lets make this fair
-Open internationally-Yay!
-Just leave an original comment-I'm not a fan of enter me's; they suck. Also leave your e-mail address so I know how to contact you if you win.
-Contest open until March 16th.
-And if you would be ever so kind as to spread the word- tweet this post, make your own post on your blog, I would be ever so grateful!

Winner will be chosen using random.org.

Thanks everyone, good luck!

**The amount of participation I get on this giveaway will help me decide how I will go about future giveaways, so I encourage you to take part.**
