Here we go again, with another list! Love lists. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at The Broke and Bookish.
Top Ten Best Sequels
1) Scarlet by Marissa Meyer- One of the best sequels I have ever read. Cinder was amazing, but Scarlet was even better. And now Cress is one of my most anticipated reads. Can't wait.
2) Boundless by Cynthia Hand- I finally read this one this past summer and it was everything I could have wanted in a series finale. SO amazing. I smile just thinking about it.
3) Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins- I liked this one. A lot of people didn't. I thought it was a good addition to the series. It totally kept me at the edge of my seat- I mean completely stressed me out. That's a good thing when it comes to books.
4) Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo- Loved this book. Love this series. A marvellous addition to
the series. If you haven't read these books, what are you waiting for?
5) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling- This whole series is fantastic. But the third book is my favourite.
6) Into the Shadow by Christina Dodd- I really like Christina's paranormal romances. A lot. I really liked her Darkness Chosen series. The third book in particular. These are by no means literary works of art. But they are entertaining and fun to read.
7) Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas- I love me some romance. And I especially like it when it's a series. I loved Sugar Daddy SO much and I was happy with it's sequel. Lisa Kleypas writes some awesome romances if you're in the mood.
8) Thumped by Megan McCafferty- What a hysterical set of books. I really liked Bumped and thought it had interesting things to say. The sequel was equally as intriguing and they were both really entertaining.
9) Where She Went by Gayle Forman- While I think I liked If I Stay more than Where She Went, I still really liked it and I am glad that I read it. It tied up the story nicely.
10) Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor- This is an amazing sequel! What more can I say. This story has so many levels and is so brilliantly written. It's breath taking. Read it!
That's it for me. Please link your TTT below. So I can go look.
~Happy Reading Everyone!

ReplyDeleteSo far it seems like Prisoner of Azkaban is everyone's favourite from Harry Potter! I don't know why this surprises me since it's mine as well haha
ReplyDeleteWe have four books the same this week! That's quite impressive. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was definitely my favourite out of the series, and made me love it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE seeing Thumped on here! It is such an underrated, under appreciated series. I loooved both of those books.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are putting Scarlet on their lists but I just didn't like it as much as I liked Cinder. I'm excited for Cress though!

Your blog is so adorable! Catching Fire made my list, too. Prisoner of Azkaban is one of my favorite books of all time, but I only did #2 books for my list.
ReplyDeleteGreat list. Scarlet seems to be on a lot of lists. I really need to read it soon.

YES! So many amazing books on this list Sara! Days of Blood and Starlight absolutely blew me away, I loved everything about that book. And Scarlet as well. I need Cress in my hands immediately!
ReplyDeleteAnother recommendation for Days of Blood and Starlight! I read the first and only liked it, but after two recommendations I think I am going to have to pick up the second! Scarlet is a favorite of mine! Thanks for stopping by my TTT.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with you regarding Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It's my favorite HP, although I do love them all.
ReplyDeleteI also included Scarlet in my TTT. I can't say I liked it more than Cinder, but I liked it just as much! I can't wait for Cress either.
And I seriously need to read Shadow and Bone and Seige and Storm. I keep seeing Seige and Storm on people's TTT today.
HP will forever be in our hearts!

I completely agree with CATCHING FIRE! I loved that one the best, though many people don't seem to agree. Scarlet, Siege and Storm, Harry Potter, Where She Went and Days of Blood and Starlight too! BUT I wish that I could scrub Boundless from my brain. The more I think about it, the more I dislike it. But I'm so happy you loved it!
ReplyDeleteEven though I own Scarlet and Cinder and the HP series, I haven't read them yet! From everything I've heard, I'm sure they'll make my list of favorite sequels.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting.
