January Recap

Let's try this.

I know it's like almost the middle of the month. But whatever- let's get to it.

Number of books completed

10

Physical books

5

Audiobooks

  5

Favourite Read of the Month

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

How is it possible that I have never read this book before- It was fantastic. So clever and fun, and I got all the feels reading it.

Favourite Listen of the Month

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

After my experience with I'll Give You the Sun last year- I knew I needed more Nelson in my life. This one is narrated by Julia Whelan and I really liked what she did with the story.

How am I doing on my bookish resolutions?
Not to bad- I wasn't able to get to a debut, but I did read TWO books from my List of Twelve.  So, I don't think I am doing to badly.

That about sums up the month of January for me.

  2. You did better than me! I only read 11 books in January. You must give Persuasion by Jane Austen a go. It's my favourite amongst her books. :D

  3. Aw, that's lovely that you liked Pride and Prejudice so much! I should really get my butt in gear and read it too... Seeing that you genuinely enjoyed it in a way that not everyone enjoys classics is definitely very encouraging!

  4. I'd like to re-read Pride and Prejudice at some point now that I'm older and can probably appreciate it more. I just watched the BBC version with Colin Firth recently and really enjoyed it.

  5. Yay!!! :) I'm so glad to hear that you loved P&P! I got a compiled edition of all of Jane Austen's books when my mom took me to the bookstore one year for my birthday present. And Pride & Prejudice was the first one I picked to read. I've loved it ever since!! It's gets even better when you reread it, too! ;)
