Book Blogger Hop (16) Followe Friday (15)

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jen at Crazy for Books.

This weeks question is...

How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?

I don't actually know. I think maybe 50. So it's manageable. I could get 50 books read by the end of the year. However, like most TBR piles it is ever growing. But that's ooooook.

Follow Friday is Hosted over at Parajunkee's View.

This weeks question is...

Genre Wars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

I have two favourite genres. Romance of any kind, and Young adult. My favourite romance novel is Dirty by Megan Hart, that story breaks my heart every time I read it. But then it puts it back together. I love it. Hunter's Moon by OR Melling had been my favourite YA as a kid, and it is still dear to my heart. But I have also read some really great YA books in the last few months. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta is up there, The Summer I Turned Pretty  By Jenny Han is also a possibility. There are many.

Happy Reading Everyone!

  2. Hopping by from the Blogger Hop. I like manageable piles...and mine are a bit larger than I like, but I'm working through them.

  3. My "list" is pretty big, but I try not to have tooooo many books around the house... a few years ago I lost most of my books in a flood! And I STILL had too many! After that I decided to limit myself to ONE bookcase only, because if I hadn't put things in storage, I wouldn't have lost them. It does feel great thinning down, but my poor bookcase is so full. I'll have to decide pretty soon if I want to give up and buy a second bookcase, or do another thin-down again.

  7. New follower here! You have a gorgeous blog. I love the header. :) I'm a big YA fan, as well, though I only just re-discovered it this year. It's been pretty consuming, though. Have a great weekend!

  9. I have 20x as many but I am working to get the list smaller through a combination of reading and culling.

Come read my Book Blogger Hop post in which I discuss my TBR and coin a new way of measuring it.

  10. Hey I read Dirty! Don't see that book around much ;P It had a deeper story though, I liked it.
The books I read is miniscule compared to the books I want to read, but it means I'll be entertained for years to come lol

    Have a great weekend!

  11. Young adult is definitely my favorite genre as well, and within that, I love both dystopians and contemporaries. It's so difficult to choose just one genre, though! I'm a bit of an eclectic YA reader.
