I love that the characters are unconventional and the story manages to tug at your emotions. I'll have to try this author soon.CashFundhttp://www.cashfund.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598314342497862852.post-54780272977457674552013-07-25T06:21:57.741-07:002013-07-25T06:21:57.741-07:00Hype seems to work against books just as equally a...Hype seems to work against books just as equally as it works for books. I must officially be the last person who hasn't read this now, but I think I'm going to try to go into it with lowered expectations when I finally do read it. I dislike being disappointed. I am unsure what to think about the relationship between Eleanor and Park... that doesn't sound like the best, most amazing relationship other people are making it out to be. I guess I'll have to read it to find out for myself. Thanks for this review, Sara - loved reading your thoughts!Ayleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07639250102446794830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598314342497862852.post-2708585558599887912013-07-18T10:07:43.522-07:002013-07-18T10:07:43.522-07:00Hmmmm. I was before of course because of all the hype, but yours is the first review that offered a slightly different opinion and I love that. Based on what you said about Eleanor, I feel like I might have a few frustrations with her as well, I already know I'm going to at least want her to woman up and apologize for the way she treats Parker. And I'm nervous about this ending, even I can appreciate the realism of it, I know I'm going to want an HEA! *sigh* I'm ridiculous:) Fantastic review!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14199685365145765394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5598314342497862852.post-62761528211432132792013-07-16T21:37:56.869-07:002013-07-16T21:37:56.869-07:00Oh yes, I agree with a lot of your points. I liked it, but, I think because of the things you mentioned, I didn't see why everyone went bananas over it. I can say, though, that I've read both Attachments and Fangirl and I LOVEDDDDD both of them so much. I guess even with favourite authors you have books of theirs that aren't your absolute favourite, and that's this one for me.Ashley @ Book Labyrinthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02395484656811182553noreply@blogger.com
